What is TICAD YOUTH DRIVE 2026 ?

TICAD Youth Drive 2026 is a leading international platform
co-organized by the Government of Ghana, the Pan-African Youth Union, the Africa Diaspora Network Japan (ADNJ), and the Africa-Asia Youth Network (AAYN), with valuable support from stakeholders such as JICA and UNDP Tokyo.
In line with the roadmap initiated in 2024 at the TICAD 9 ministerial meeting in Tokyo, this summit formalizes the deployment of the political framework "Youth Agenda 2055: The Future We Want" officially handed over to the highest diplomatic bodies.

A true gateway for cooperation between Africa and Japan, Ghana offers a dynamic ecosystem bringing together start-ups, universities and development institutions, which strengthens its leading role in youth empowerment and continental collaboration.
A Unique International Mobilization
300 delegates and young global leaders are meeting in Accra to shape the future of the Africa-Japan ecosystem.
50% participation from Ghanaian youth (Host).
33.3% of delegates came from across the African continent.

16.7% of representatives from Japan and the international scene.

THE ROADMAP TO ACCRA
JUNE
Launch of the visual identity, first official press release and mapping of the sponsor portfolio.
JULY
Press accreditation opens, spotlight on delegate selection and launch of the 100-day countdown.
August 12-14
Launch of the summit, JICA dialogue cycles, policy projects and signing of the Accra Declaration.
AFTER THE SUMMIT
Disseminate official reports and conduct long-term initiatives in preparation for TICAD 10.
